Realm of Karguun
A realm of kingdoms, one day at a time.

The Code of the Realm

The Code of the Realm
The realm is a game of many rulers. These few rules keep it fair and pleasant; the moderators enforce them, and a ruler who breaks them may be muted, suspended or removed from the age.
One ruler, one province
Play one province in each age, from your own account. Running a second province, playing another's account, or creating accounts to feed your own is the gravest offence in the realm.
Shared connections
Family members or housemates may each play, from the same home or computer. They may not aid each other across kingdoms or attack each other to trade land. If you share a connection with another ruler, tell the moderators through a report so it is noted.
Respect
War is part of the game; cruelty is not. No harassment, threats, hate or slurs on the Moot, in couriers, or anywhere else in the realm.
Names
Province, ruler and kingdom names, and monarchs' messages, must be fit for all to read. The moderators may rename them without warning.
Faults in the realm
If you find a fault that gives an unfair edge, report it and do not use it. Using it knowingly is treated like cheating.
Scripts and bots
Play by hand. The realm has its own calculators, timers and ledgers; programs that play for you or flood the realm with requests are not allowed.
What the realm keeps about you
Your account name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), your province and everything you do in the game. To catch rulers with several accounts, the realm notes each sign-in with a keyed hash of your address and of a random mark in your browser, never the address itself, and forgets these after sixty days. Your email is used only for your account and the letters you ask for. Couriers are private between rulers; moderators read one only when its recipient reports it.
